A webinar is a web-based seminar. Using the computer of your choice and an internet connection, you will be able to see the live presentation and listen in using your computer speakers. A microphone is not required as a text chat feature will be utilized during the webinars for participants to ask questions.  All webinars are free; however, registration is required.  Sessions are currently delivered via Blackboard Collaborate.

How to Participate in a Webinar

You can test your connection ability ahead of time by visiting First Time Users -- Blackboard Collaborate.

To register for a webinar, click on the title of a webinar listed below then click on the link with the date and time of interest and follow the instructions provided.  After registering, you should receive a confirmation e-mail 24 to 48 hours prior to the webinar of interest that will include instructions for accessing the webinar. In general, webinar registration closes approximately 2 hours prior to the session start.

Making Proactive Choices

This webinar is designed to provide concepts and strategies that promote an understanding of proactive and reactive choices and coping strategies that illustrate how to be more proactive in the face of unforeseen obstacles and multiple responsibilities. MTT Orientation

Welcome to your MTT Course! If this is your first time taking an online MTT Course with ELI, you may be feeling a bit anxious about what to expect in this course. In this webinar you will learn what an MTT course is, how the course is formatted, and what resources are available to you throughout the course. With the information you will get in this hour-long session, you will be able to keep that MTT anxiety at bay!

Reviewing Your Online Syllabus

The single most important instrument in an online course is your course syllabus. In this 30 minute webinar you will learn what a syllabus is, what significant information is listed in a syllabus, the importance of regular syllabus reviews, using your syllabus as a planning tool, goal setting, and using your syllabus as a communication tool with classmates and instructors.

Transfer Planning

It’s never too early to begin your planning to transfer another institution. This one-hour webinar will discuss the basics of transfer planning; information about Guaranteed Admission Agreements, Articulation Agreements, and Transfer Guides; and a web tour of NOVA’s transfer website.
