Internship Course Information

BUS 190--Business Internship
The purpose of BUS 190 is to introduce eligible students to the demands and opportunities of the workplace, related to their field of study.  Successful students will intern approximately 200 to 240 hours over the duration of the course.  Some internships are paid and others are not, depending on the sponsoring organization and the kind of internship position they offer.

BUS 190 may or may not be used to fulfill the 3 credit BUS elective requirement for the Business Management A.A.S. or the Business Management: Administrative Support Technology Specialization A.A.S. degrees.  Further, the course may or may not transfer to another institution.  Please consult with your faculty advisor before deciding whether to take the course.

Eligible students will be permitted to register once they have been accepted for an internship and meet other basic requirements.  Interested students are required to attend one of the following web-based information sessions:

ITE 190--Information Technology Internship

ITE 190 may be applied toward the IT elective requirements for the Information Systems Technology A.A.S. degree.  However, the course credit may or may not transfer to another institution.  Please consult with your faculty advisor before deciding whether to take the course.
